We have an entire team dedicated to working with customers specifically looking to update their building space. So what exactly is contract furniture, and what makes W.B. stand out from the rest?
What is contract furniture?
Contract furniture is not to be confused with our transactional furniture. So, what’s the difference? On the transactional side of things, whatever we have on our website you can buy directly and have it shipped wherever you need it. This is not so simple on the contract side of things, and for good reason, since these projects are much bigger. We work with businesses who are looking to completely remodel a floor in their building, all the way up to the entire building. We work with schools, hospitals, corporate businesses – you name it, we’ve done it.
Our support team consists of a Design Manager, Account Manager, Project Manager, Furniture Manager, and a Sales Support team member. Each person has a key role, from beginning to end, in ensuring the project is executed flawlessly. From designing the layout, to order entry, installation and post-move support, our team has you covered from start to finish. All you have to do is enjoy the space once it’s done!
Our team works with you to figure out the concept and layout you want for the area. You will work together on the different types of furniture you want in the space – desks, chairs, filing cabinets, space dividers as well as the colors you want everything in. At the same time, you’ll decide from brands like Allsteel, HON, AIS & Logiflex just to name a few of the 200+ furniture companies we work with. We also work with school specific furniture companies like Scholar Craft, Jonti-Craft and Palmer Hamilton if you are looking to redo a school. Once all of that is decided, W.B. gets to work and creates the space you envisioned.

York County Community College – Wells, Maine
Several spaces were renovated at this college including the student center, multiple classrooms as well as private office spaces. Our team worked on creating spaces that would work well for private work, group study, and tutoring, as well as group gatherings. A tough ask, but our Interiors team made it happen by focusing on mobility and shared spaces. Surfaceworks®, Humanscale®, and HON® were all used in filling these spaces.
St. Raphael Academy – Pawtucket, Rhode Island
Our Interiors team completed an all-inclusive design project which included furniture selections, flooring, paint, and artwork for St. Raphael’s student center. This is now a flexible space for both students and faculty members while promoting a collaborative learning environment. All the furniture that was used came from Allsteel®.
